Aroian Group at UCSD

Although Dr. Aroian remains an adjunct professor at UCSD, the research laboratory has moved to the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. Please click here to visit our website there!

Our group studies the interaction of intestinal roundworms with drugs. Our research goals are to discover and develop new therapies and combinations of therapies for the treatment of infectious intestinal roundworm diseases that are leading causes of global poverty. We also study how bacterial toxins attack the body and how the innate immune system protects us from these toxins.

By integrating capabilities, we strive to create an efficient pathway to bring scientific innovation from the lab to the people who need it most.
